Professional Career

Michelle completed pre-clinical studies at Cambridge University (Christ’s College) with a First Class Honours Degree in Medical Sciences. She subsequently qualified at the Joint Medical Schools of Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals in London in 1992 achieving distinctions in both Surgical and Medical finals. Post qualification she trained in Otolaryngology (Ear Nose and Throat surgery) at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital (Gray’s Inn Road), St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOS). She then undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric ENT Surgery at GOS (the only such Fellowship available in the United Kingdom).

Michelle was appointed to the Consulting Staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in October 2004.
